They are digital assets issued under the ERC-1155s blockchain standard, which represent and are backed by shares of a company in the US. The blockchain, being a public, immutable and decentralized registry, allows you to verify your ownership and rights at all times. without the need for intermediaries (eg Inbric).
Yes, brics are shares of a company that in turn contains the property. As a shareholder, you own the economic rights of the Corporation and all its assets (property).
Each Bric is backed by one share of a “C Corporation,” incorporated under the laws and jurisdiction of the state of Delaware, USA. As digital representations of those shares, Brics possess all of their inherent protections and rights. The company owns 100% of the property and, therefore, its shareholders are beneficiaries of its profits. For this protection to be operational, when you buy a Bric we will ask you to sign an agreement through which you will receive the shares, issued and delivered in the form of Brics, in exchange for your investment. In this framework, Bric will act as an administrator of that Company so that you do not have to deal with its day-to-day operations.
The platform has a marketplace where you can list your Brics, putting them up for sale at the price you want. There you will have to wait for a buyer interested in these to appear. Just as it would be when selling a house. All operations are private agreements.
In an extremely negative and unlikely scenario where Inbric goes bankrupt, the tokens will continue to serve their function as shares of the SPV that owns the property, without any issues. The Operator (Manager) of that Corp/SPV, in such a negative scenario, should proceed with the administration and subsequent liquidation of the Corp/SPV as planned, distributing capital and profits among the shareholders, token holders, and holders of the Company's economic rights.
The property is rented and every month the corresponding rent is credited on the platform. At the end of the target period, and reaching the target price, the property is sold and 100% of the capital and profit returned to the shareholder investors, holders of the Brics.
All pertinent documentation will be accessible on the platform for greater transparency, this will include: Certificate of Incorporation of the Corp and its Bylaws; an Offer Memorandum and your share subscription agreement; Pre-sale contract with the seller defining the Corp and the property; Appraisal of property; Registered Property Verification; and post-purchase Deed and Contract with Tenant. As the owner, you have the right to request any additional documents that you consider relevant.
